National team of plasterers: Team member Marc Ebinger achieves 8th place at WorldSkills 2022

Plasterer Marc Ebinger from Pfullingen (Baden-Württemberg) has reached 8th place at the WorldSkills 2022 in Bordeaux, France. From 19 to 22 October 2022, he competed with 13 other participants from all over the world in the category "Plastering and Drywall Systems".

The task was to create an extremely demanding drywall construction, which then had to be filled in different quality levels. In addition, stucco profiles and top plasters had to be applied until finally, in the freestyle module, each participant was able to realise their own ideas. Marc integrated a peace dove and the word "peace" into his idea.

Trainer and plasterer expert Josef Gruber was very pleased with his protégé's craftsmanship in view of the task and the strong competitors.

"He trained for more than 14 weeks and gave his best, that alone counts. He is among the best of the best," said the Nuremberg native. The national team members who travelled with him agreed: "As always, time is the biggest enemy of the competitors."

The gold medal this year went to China, silver went to the participant from Chinese Taipei and bronze went to Switzerland.

We would like to thank Marc Ebinger for his great commitment and also his parents who gave him time off for the training sessions at the company.
